Questions and answers
What happens at the first appointment?
At your first appointment, you will have time to talk about how things have been for you and your baby. Together, you’ll start to think about what support might help..
What will we do in the sessions?
Sessions may include talking, observing your baby, and gentle activities like play or baby massage. You may be supported to notice your baby’s signals and think about what they need. Everything is done at your pace.
How long will I have to wait?
Waiting times can vary depending on demand in your area. You will be contacted as soon as an appointment is available. If you are worried while you are waiting, it’s okay to seek support elsewhere.
How many appointments will I have?
This can be different for everyone. Some families only need a few sessions, while others may need support for longer. You will agree a plan together based on what feels helpful for you.
What if I feel nervous about coming?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous, especially if you’re sharing personal feelings. The team is there to support you and help you feel comfortable. You can take things at your own pace.
