Your 10 to 12 Month Review

Your baby’s 10 to 12 month review is a chance to look at how they are growing and developing. You might have questions about what your baby can do at this stage or what to expect next. It’s normal to feel unsure, and support is available to help you understand your baby’s progress.

More about your 10 to 12 month review

The 10 to 12 month review is a chance to look at how your baby is growing, learning, and changing around their first birthday. At this stage, many babies are developing new skills like moving more, making sounds, and showing their personality. It helps you understand what is typical for this age and what your baby might do next.

This stage happens as part of your baby’s normal development. Every child grows at their own pace, and there is a wide range of what is considered typical. Things like feeding, sleep, play, and everyday routines all support your baby’s progress during this time.

You might feel curious, excited, or unsure about whether your baby is doing what you expected. It’s common to compare your baby to others or to wonder about things like speech, movement, eating, or sleep. You may also have questions about topics like brushing teeth, keeping your baby safe, or what to do if they are unwell.

It’s a good idea to seek help if you have concerns about your baby’s development, such as if they are not sitting, moving, or responding to you, or if feeding and sleep feel very difficult. Trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to ask for advice. Support is available to reassure you and help you understand your baby’s needs.

It’s a chance to look at how your baby is growing and what they can do at this stage. You can think about things like movement, communication, eating, sleep, and play. It’s also a good time to talk about any questions or worries you have.
Is it normal if my baby isn’t doing everything yet?
Yes, all babies develop at different speeds. Some may be crawling or standing, while others are still learning these skills. Small steps and steady progress are what matter most.
What should my baby be able to do around this age?
Many babies start to move more, make sounds or simple words, and show interest in people and play. They may also begin to feed themselves or explore different foods. Your baby may not do all of these things yet, and that’s okay.
What if I’m worried about my baby’s development?
It’s normal to feel unsure or compare your baby to others. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and ask for advice. Getting support early can help you understand what your baby needs.
Can I ask questions about things like feeding, sleep, or safety?
